NorthropGrumman Innovation Systems (NGIS) is looking for you to join our team as a SrPrincipal RF Microwave Design Engineer based out of Beavercreek, OH.
Thisposition requires a highly motivated individual, able to work with minimaloversight from senior technical staff. Key roles include individual and teamfocused research, design, analysis, prototyping, test validation, andmanufacturing support in the field of electromagnetic structures and materials.Applicants must demonstrate prior working experience with electromagneticmaterials, typical of Low Observable aerospace structures. Examples includeloaded honeycomb core and/or similar core geometries, loaded foams andelastomers, MAGRAM, R-Cards, Circuit Analog sheets / absorbers, and FrequencySelective Surfaces.
Workingexperience with various RF test equipment and common test measurement systemsfor the extraction of electrical material properties is required. Workingexperience with multi-tensor material characterization / extraction isdesirable. Proficiency in Matlab is desirable for design, analysis, andprocessing of data. Applicants are responsible to monitor the quality of thematerials produced, establishing test criteria to ensure that the end productsmeet specifications. Regular communication with cross-functional teams,management, and customers is expected to be successful.

- BS in Electrical Engineering and/or Physics and 9 years of experience or MS Electrical Engineering and/or Physics and 7 years of experience
- Electromagnetics fundamentals
- Experience with RF test equipment (e.g. Network Analyzers, SCI-2K, SCI-IS-HH2, Transmission Tunnel, Std Waveguides, Reflection Arch, and Resonant Cavities)
- Ability to obtain Secret Clearance or actively possessing a clearance
- Proficiency in Matlab (e.g. data acquisition, instrument control, and data processing)
- Experience with commercial EM analysis tools (e.g. HFSS)
- Experience with Matlab
