Job Description
As a Strategic Account Executive (SAE), you will serve as the senior level liaison on the Medicaid team within the Strategic Business Unit for a large Health Plan. This is an excellent opportunity to interface with Executive Leadership both internally and externally. As a seasoned healthcare sales professional, you will use your years of expertise to grow our business through renewal, retention, and product up-sell. You will accomplish this through:

- Working with the strategic account team (including fellow Medicaid SAEs, account management, clinical, and operations) and have full ownership of your book of business for client satisfaction, contract terms such as performance guarantees, and service delivery.
- Influencing client up-sell opportunities; leveraging your consultative selling skills by understanding and recommending CVS Health solutions across the organization to meet key client needs as well as the needs of the Health Plan’s downstream customers.
- Developing and delivering quarterly and annual reporting to clients on their drug trend and financial performance and facilitate in identifying client cost-saving opportunities.
- Formulating responses to Request for Proposals (RFPs) through collaboration with primary internal partners such as proposals and underwriting.
- Helping the client create and develop strategies to become successful in the market and grow their Medicaid pharmacy lives
- Negotiating contract and pricing terms and executing client renewals by building relationships with key client stakeholders and asking effective probing questions that lead to innovative plan designs, products, and programs benefiting both the client and CVS Health.
- Driving operational efficiency and excellence by effectively collaborating with cross functional teams, evaluating current processes, interpreting client feedback, and making recommendations that will improve customer service, member experience, and create efficiencies that benefit both the client and CVS Health.
- Working across lines of business with the other account team SAE’s to ensure a clear and consistent client facing message, internal sharing of best practices, and timely communication of important items.

Your success as a Strategic Account Executive will be driven and measured by your ability to grow revenue for the assigned book of business and achieve above average client satisfaction scores. You will function as a leader for the account team and your ability to influence others to deliver results for your client will be a key factor in your success. Your understanding of the PBM, Medicaid, and large Health Plan environments as well as keeping up to date on market trends will enable you to position CVS Health programs and solutions effectively to client decision makers. The contributions you will make as a Strategic Account Executive by consistently delivering client interactions that develop trust and show value will position CVS Health for long term growth with this important customer.

This position can be located anywhere in the U.S. with the ability to work remotely or in a CVS Corporate Hub. This role will require travel to different locations throughout the country. The amount of travel will vary depending on client need but could be up to 40% of the time.

Required Qualifications
* At least 3 years of cumulative PBM, Account Management, Medicaid or similar in a client-facing role
* Travel may require but is not limited to flights, overnight stays, local travel, travel on short notice and other travel deemed necessary by the Company

Preferred Qualifications
* 5+ years of experience managing a large Health Plan specialty pharmacy customer
* 5+ years of experience managing a book of business in the PBM, Health Plan, or medical specialty and infusion industry
* RxClaim experience and specialty module knowledge (internal candidates)
* Broad experience understanding the specialty pharmacy business within the pharmacy, medical, and infusion benefits

Education
Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred. HS Diploma/GED required.
